Wake up Europe!

It is remarkable, to say the least, how out of touch with reality that many European leaders seem to be. In my opinion, the current global situation is more dangerous than it has been since the 1930s. Or what else can you call it when we have a crazy narcissist as president of the United States, a man who also seems to be Vladimir Putin’s little errand boy? And needless to say, Putin is obviously a threat to all European countries and their citizens. Therefore, it is time to rearm Europe.

It is time to rearm Europe

I therefore suggest the following actions:

First of all, stop carrying on with the political correctness that is a directly contributing factor to Trump even being elected in the first place. There are more urgent concerns to be addressed than what gender or thing people identify themselves as…

Second, now is the time to rearm Europe. The naive idea that the United States should be responsible for the NATO-forces and the military protection of the continent is obviously no longer an option. Instead, the threat now comes from both the West and the East. Is it going to require a US invasion of Greenland in order for the naive European politicians to realize this?

Third, wake up! Stop living with the idea that there will not be another major war, and that the world isn’t an insane place, just because you don’t want it to be so. Trump attacking Venezuela is just the latest in a series of events which strongly suggests that the days when Europe could rely on the US for military support are long gone.

Could Trump and Putin be working together?

In addition, many of Trump’s actions seem to have directly benefited Putin, who in several ways seems to be in control of the former. The two criticizing each other publicly is something which I suspect is only political grandstanding. I fear that the real motive behind the actions is a lot more sinister than what we are being told.

I am fully aware that this sounds insane, but just look at everything that has happened since Trump took office. He managed to turn against most former US-allies in only about a month after starting his term. As it has continued, Donald Trump’s actions and behaviour have gotten even worse. Now we know that Trump is able to cause such catastrophic events in less than a year. Imagine then what mayhem he is could have been causing by the time his term reaches its end.

And poor, poor Ukraine. Not only do they have Russia against them, but now also a hostile USA to deal with. Claiming that Ukraine is responsible for the war, like Trump have done, is in my opinion nothing but pure madness.

Turn Europe into a force to be reckoned with

So my strong suggestion to all European countries is that it is time to start arming yourself to the fullest. Countries like Sweden, for example, are capable of manufacturing some of the world’s best military equipment. They should increase the pace in the factories. Now it should not be for the purpose of manufacturing equipment to sell to various dictatorships around the world. 9 to use it to arm themselves. The Social Democratic naïveté about not having an army is obviously flirting with disaster in today’s world.

Furthermore, Sweden and like-minded European countries should reintroduce universal conscription, create foreign legions for illegal immigrants, and even offer them help reaching various EU-countries if they are willing to serve in the aforementioned legions.

To be more precise, I argue that every EU-country should have its own foreign legion, with similar conditions to those in the French Foreign Legion. This may sound inhumane, but difficult times requires difficult decisions, and now is the time to get tough.

The EU has the capacity to become a military superpower, which they need to do in order to once again become an actor to be reckoned with on the global stage. That will hopefully send a message to Russia and the narcissist in Washington that you can’t mess with Europe without consequences. In other words, it’s time for Europe to be able to stand on their own feet!
