How I wish this was a bad joke, but in the sick world that we live in, things like this do unfortunately happen way too often. It does, however, only happen when one nation and its people are involved. I am, of course, referring to Israel and its Jewish inhabitants.
Macklemore’s Cancellation
To make a long story short, the American rapper Macklemore has been dropped from the remaining concerts that are part of Ed Sheeran’s tour of North America named the Loop tour. The crime committed by Macklemore? He uttered the horrible words of “Free Palestine” while on stage.
Managing to link something like that to anti-Semitism while also getting others to follow suit is so sick that I cannot even find the words to describe it. To me, this incident raises troubling questions about the influence that organized political pressure campaigns can have on public debate and entertainment. The whole incident is just so frustrating that it makes me want to break something. At the same time, I am not surprised whatsoever. This is the sick state of the current world that we live in, where the perpetrators of a genocide can successfully manage to portray themselves as victims in the eyes of many people.
Unfortunately, we’ve seen it all before and will most likely be forced to do so again. The key is to support those getting targeted by the Zionists and shun those who succumb to and/or join their bullying campaigns. It’s still not too late for Ed Sheeran in my opinion, but let’s just hope that he will refuse to perform at the remaining concerts of the tour. If he does indeed perform, then he will have forever lost my respect.
When it comes to actors that I already despise and that have been involved in this debacle, the Jewish campaign group StopAntisemitism is one example. Another one is the Israeli American Council. It is truly remarkable that those morons do not understand that the only thing they will achieve from this is to create anti-Semitism if anything.
Another figure who I was only vaguely familiar with before this, but who I now despise, is Robert Kraft. This old fart really embodies the type of Western people who support the Zionists, meaning that he is a billionaire and someone whose public positions I strongly disagree with. I don’t know much about NFL, but one thing that I do now know is that the New England Patriots are the one team that I support the least since Robert Kraft owns it.
The positive side of the story is that the whole of Ed Sheeran’s band as well as the rest of the opening acts have decided to withdraw from the tour as a way to show their support for Macklemore. The world needs more people like them, and the rest of us can make sure that they will only gain from this incident by starting to support them. Even though I can’t recall ever hearing any of Macklemore’s songs, he and the other musicians who have withdrawn from the tour have my highest respect and admiration. Lastly, Free Palestine!
