Why are most leftists so silent about Iran?

I am ashamed to admit this, but when Iran stood up against Israel several times last year, I almost forgot about the true nature of their regime. After reading article after article about Palestinian hospitals being bombed, babies getting slaughtered and other horrible incidents, it was just good to see another state finally standing up to the Zionists with more than empty words. It somehow made my mind ignore the news heard over the years about the way in which the Iranian regime treat its citizens.

However, the regime crushing down on the nationwide protests again showed me that it is no better than the Israeli government. Many people already knew it, many somehow managed to sort those thoughts out (including myself), while others didn’t care. A large proportion of the “others” are made up of leftists. One example is the “environmental hero”, turned Palestine-activist, Greta Thunberg.

Left-wing movements sees everything in black & white

Let me address all you extreme leftists out there:

My “support” of the Iranian regime is now long gone, and the reason is of course the extremely brutal and inhumane crimes against humanity that they’ve committed against their own people.

According to Reuters, an Iranian government official has confirmed that a minimum of 5,000 people have died during the protests. That number could for all we know be way higher. It has and continues to be difficult to confirm the real death-toll, partly as a result of the Iranian authorities imposing a shutdown of the internet. Time will tell whether the figures listed by the official are accurate or not.

Unlike most left-wing activists, I am able to see that the leaders of Iran are in fact no better than the Zionists, only weaker when it comes to international influence and allies. It should be obvious to all adults that you don’t always have to pick one side in a conflict. Just because one side is bad, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the other one is good.

They do the same thing with World War II

As another example, let us take Adolf Hitler’s Germany versus the hero of many leftists, Josef Stalin and his Soviet Union, during World War II. The comfortable “truth” regarding Stalin among leftist-ranks is that he is a hero who defeated the “real evil” in the form of Adolf Hitler, and who did what he had to do because those were difficult times.

Sure, Hitler’s regime was evil and committed heinous crimes against humanity. But that doesn’t automatically make Stalin good for playing a large role in defeating him. Just like Iran aren’t automatically good for confronting Israel.

Also, Hitler’s crimes are widely known, is the subject of thousands of documentaries and Hollywood-movies, and is talked about in history-classes all over the so called “West”. At the same time, when I went to school, Stalin’s name was barely ever mentioned. I had a profound interest in World War II already at a young age, before the internet, so I had to learn about Stalin’s crimes through history books that I lent from the local library.

Once again the word hypocrisy is best used to describe it all. A lot of people, especially the leftists, for some very strange reason seem to be unable to see that there doesn’t necessarily have to be any good side in a conflict.

Let’s put it at its most basic form

Let’s put it at its most basic form: There is a bully at your school who everyone is afraid of, and who beat and rob people. He once did that to you, so you therefore hate him. Unbeknownst to you, this bully has an enemy who attends another school, in another part of town. That bully does even worse things to people than the one at your school, which has lead to many students there not daring to even go to school.

“Bully A” is the one who goes to your school, and “Bully B” is the one from the other part of town. As previously mentioned, Bully A and Bully B are enemies. They were about to get into a fight at a mall once, but were stopped by security guards. That did not mean that they became friends though, they are still very angry at each other. Since Bully B knows what school Bully A attends, he goes there one day to look for him.

During your break that same day, you are sitting at a table by the entrance of the school when you see Bully A. He is having a heated argument with someone you haven’t seen before, a person who in fact is Bully B. After a few seconds, a real fight breaks out, and Bully B beats up Bully A so badly that he has to be taken to hospital.

Now, does this mean that Bully B is a good person? That he is good because he hurt Bully A, who has previously been bad to you? Maybe you would think so at first, since Bully B gave Bully A what he deserved. But if you then found out that Bully B also is a really bad person, who has terrorized people at his school just like Bully A did at yours, would you still support him?

Every mature and reasonable person with some level of decency would very likely answer “no” to that question. The ones who would answer “yes” obviously have no empathy for other people. They think that they are the only ones who matter, that only people who hurt them are bad and that persons who hurt their enemies are always good. In other words, that’s precisely how many leftists seem to function.

Bully A = Hitler and Israel, bully B = Stalin and Iran

Bully A might as well have been Hitler, and Bully B Stalin. Another possibility is to label Bully A as Israel, and Bully B as the Iranian regime. The leftists are in other words supporting, or at least are not willing to criticize, a regime like Iran’s. They simply ignore that they, among many other atrocities, have committed the following crimes against humanity:

  • Executed thousands of political dissidents
  • Been behind the execution of at least 50 pregnant women
  • Use torture as an interrogation-technique
  • Use hanging as a form of execution
  • Implements the death penalty for several different types of charges
  • Have even implemented the death penalty against children
  • Children were also targeted during the recent protests, with 68 said to have been killed
  • Rape and humiliation of political prisoners is common to this day
  • There is no sort of gender equality whatsoever in Iran under the current regime, where women are seen as inferior to men

These are just a few examples of the true nature of the Iranian regime. And you refuse to comment on that, Greta Thunberg and other leftists? Would you have done the same if you were being asked about Israel’s genocide against the Palestinians? We already know that you wouldn’t. And what about your feminist-side? Shouldn’t you be upset over the way in which women are being treated in Iran?

As you all hopefully can see, the leftist-movement does not live in the real world. There are parts of the leftist opinions about society that are humane and makes sense, but unfortunately serious leftists are getting their reputation destroyed by the clueless, know-it-all type of people who are known to the public as leftist-extremists. I wish that more people could wake up and see them for what they are.

And lastly, stop embarrassing people who are pro-Palestine. The majority of us who support Palestine are certainly not like you, so we don’t want you making yourself into some type of representatives for us! Or I do at least certainly not want that, that’s for sure.
